The Karachi Stock Market has in the last few years been hailed as the world's best performing index. At times it has also been cited as the world's most manipulated stock market. Suttabhai has been in this market for the last 8 odd years and has seen a 1000 point index in the late 90's and in March 2006 saw a 12,300 + index. It is definitely not a stock market for the faint-hearted (even stock brokers have been known to collapse, physically and financially ) , nor is it a market for the small investor who with his/her greed and lack of information cannot sustain their positions when the market crashes, leading to their bankruptcy. Not a place to put your little nest egg, use the bank, as this market can take the shirt off your back, the car, the house and the dog !!
Suttabhai started this blog in March 2006 as a tool for looking at the daily index patterns and recording dividend dates for various companies. He then noticed some daily traffic and was pleasantly surprised and subsquently has tried very hard to post daily.While this blog contains some market news, company news and dividend results for some of the companies , it does not give any stock tips for buys or sells.(Make or lose money from your own instincts). There are his occasional comments or instincts about the rise and fall of the index which are more of a personal reminder. His only tip for those who trade in the Karachi Stock Market is to keep a constant supply of Vaseline handy, as it's a very volatile market and country !!
